New felted creations...

I've been borderline obsessed with felted items lately...I think it started when I first saw felted beads combined with glass...something about the contrast of soft and fuzzy along with hard and smooth that just peaked my artistic energy. Anyway, I've been reading a lot about how to felt lately and finally sat down yesterday to play...these sweater pins are the first to be born from this new obsession. My brain is still filled with ideas so there will likely be more to come...one of the best things about these projects is that they are made entirely of recycled wool or cashmere sweaters...

Custom Order...

I spent the afternoon finishing a custom order for a friend in NY. I don't usually do much beadwork but for Rach...

It came out pretty well...and I think a new earring design has been born...

I suck at blogging...

I start one...I write a few posts...I get busy and abandon it for months on end only to start the process all over again. I've no reason to believe that this time will be different yet I'm giving it another go anyway.

We are settled in WI...the boxes are unpacked and most days I can remember where I put everything. Johnny on the other hand has no idea where anything is. I've gone so far as to hang a few pictures on the walls and started painting the 1/2 bath...it was such a putrid color of baby-poo that it was the first to go. Actually, that's not true...the turquoise trim on the exterior of the house was the very first to go. Seriously...who paints their house turquoise? Thankfully we had a stretch of 60 degree weather the week we moved in and were able to banish the trim from the front of the house. The 1/2 bath I have unfortunately left 1/2 finished...I mistakenly thought that a coat of primer and a coat of color would be enough to banish the baby-poo color...I was wrong and it still needs another coat. I'll get to it...eventually.

Now that we are settled and I don't have to look at boxes, I figured it was time to start treating EWD like it is a real job. So, this is day two of me working full time for myself. I'm still in my jammies and just finishing my coffee at 10 past 9...OMG, I'm such a good boss:) I did, however, get a massive amount of work done yesterday and, thanks be to the sun for actually making an appearance, managed to get a lot of my current stock photographed. I added a few new items yesterday and will add more each day this week. I've also redirected www.eclectic-wendy.com to the new Etsy site...my plan is to give the main site a little upgrade over the next few months.

So...that's it for now. I'll try to keep at the blog and keep you updated on what's going on in my little corner of the world...
